Requirements for Graduation

• To have a Christian character recommended by Bethel Baptist College.
• The completion of the prescribed courses with passing grades and an accumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better. 
• Payment of all financial obligations.
• Payment of the graduation fee.
• Attendance of graduation ceremonies is mandatory.

Graduation With Honors

Cum Laude - Grade Point Average 3.55 to 3.69

Magna Cum Laude - Grade Point Average 3.70 to 3.84

Summa Cum Laude - Grade Point Average 3.85 to 4.00

Class Absences - When a Bible Baptist College student has three (3) unexcused absences or has missed 25% of classroom time, he/she will be placed on probation. 

If a student has more than three (3) unexcused absences or is absent in excess of 25% of the classroom time, he/she will be dropped from the class. For each hour absent from the class, the professor is at liberty to deduct 1 point from the final grade for the semester.

Tardy Policy - Being late 3 times counts as 1 absence. Nine tardies will place the student on probation. Nine tardies while on probation will mean dismissal from college.

Class Sessions - Class sessions are 50 minutes in length and require 2 hours of outside preparation. 

Withdrawal - The official drop-add period for all students is the first two weeks of each semester. All withdrawals must be approved and registered through the college office. 

Dismissal and Reinstatement Policy - If a student is dismissed from Bible Baptist College, readmission will be considered after a probationary period of one year and satisfactory interview with the Vice President. 

Classification of Students -  The following standards must be met to be classified as: 

Unit of Credit - The unit of credit is the semester hour. A semester hour is one fifty-minute period of instruction per week for 15 to 18 weeks, or the equivalent.
